Choosing wood materials - stiffness, flatness

I'm making an enclosure and I need to pick material I can trust to be stiff and flat, and it has to be wood-based. I'm not sure whether 5.5mm hardboard, 5.2mm birch plywood, or 6.4mm MDF will give me guaranteed flatness (mostly a concern with the plywood) with the highest stiffness I can get.

Has anyone found birch plywood to be dimensionally stable? And would the thicker MDF be thinner than the hardboard?
