I've got a design idea I would like to make, but I'm not sure how to turn it into a file that Ponoko can make. Can someone help me to do this?
At present, Ponoko provides fabrication services only. We currently offer laser-cutting and 3D printing.
So what you'll need to do is turn your idea into a digital design file(s) formatted correctly for our system.
We've got a bunch of information on how files need to be formatted for some of the major 2D and 3D design software packages here:

If you're not confident with using this type of software, another option is to find someone who is to assist you in designing Ponoko-ready files. You could ask a designer friend for help, hire a designer or design student, or you could seek help through the 'Find collaborators' section of the forums.
