From time to time you may see a small unexpected additional charge to your card alongside your order payment to Ponoko.
If this occurs, it is likely that your bank has charged you a foreign transaction fee. This is due to the fact Ponoko's main accounts and payment handling service are still located in New Zealand. Not all banks charge foreign transaction fees, and those which do vary in the amount they add.
PayPal payments will not incur international transaction fees.
UPDATE (Feb 2013): We are currently working on getting our accounts and payment handling service moved to the USA, which will mean these fees will disappear for Ponoko users based there. This is a fairly complicated process - and may take some time.
