If you're having trouble uploading your design file, we can help! Email your file to email@example.com and we'll advise on how to get it fixed as soon as we can.
You can also read about how to fix this specific error below:
Our making system only registers vector artwork, and this error message will appear if there is an image in your EPS or SVG file that hasn’t been converted to paths (such as .jpg or .bmp).
To get around this, you’ll need to trace the image you want to incorporate into your design.
USING ILLUSTRATOR Select the inserted image and use the Object > Live Trace > Tracing Options command:
You’ll see there are several tracing options so try out a few until you find the one you want. Make sure your traced shapes are a single solid color.
Next, use the Object > Expand command:
If the trace has worked correctly, vectors should appear around all of the individual parts of the traced image:
Once you have traced your image, you'll then need to work through each of your lines & fills to ensure that they are correct for what we require, as per the information in our Starter Kits.
USING INKSCAPE Select the inserted image and use the Path > Trace Bitmap window:
You’ll see there are several tracing options so try out a few until you find the one you want. Make sure your traced shapes are a single solid color. Close the ‘Trace Bitmap’ window. The original image will still be behind your new traced image, so make sure you select it and delete it. Next, click on the traced image with the ‘Edit paths by nodes’ tool. If the trace has worked correctly, vectors should appear around all the individual parts of the traced image:
